DSM Link?

Is there going to be a similiar product for ourEVO's? DSMLink was great for 2G DSM's and I was wondering if we can looking forward to an EVO version. If so, what is the time frame?

This is a great question... everything I've heard about the dsmlink has been positive.

If I had a 2g DSM, that is what I would buy... because the dsmlink is a datalogger and a SAFC in one so you only need to purchase one unit instead of buying a logger and a SFAC (1g DSM guys have no choice but to buy both seperate.)

Also, the great thing about the dsmlink is that you can monitor knock sum and is the only 2g DSM datalogger that I know of that has that function.

Some others have reported that 2g logging software works on the EVO, so it is definatly worth a shot to give it a try

Maybe you could call the dsmlink company and ask them if you could try it out on your EVO and if it works, keep it, if not, then return it for a refund??

I believe DSMLink is in the works for the Evo. I would expect something within the next few months.

One of the two guys who created DSMLink is registered on this board and owns an Evo. I don't think you will see anything in the next few months. He still has to finish DSMLink V2 for the 2G DSMs. We tried to bribe the dealership to keep his Evo from him so he could concentrate on DSMLink, but all we could do was delay the delivery.

Bwahaha. You guys are funny sometimes. The EVO took long enough to get here as it is.

Yes, V2 is getting our attention right now, but the EVO isn't far behind. I'm a little annoyed at the moment, though. What I'm getting out of the EVO ECU isn't all the code...it's JUST the fuel and timing tables. Ugh. Not so useful. Will require more work.

Tom sounds like the mad scientist from the Back to the Future movies.

I'm sure Tom can comment on this but I know for a fact that they are extremely busy with DSMLink V2 upgrades for DSM cars. I know I am enjoying it myself and can't wait until the EVO version is in the works.

Sorry, guys. I can't keep up with this board. Every time I hit the home page, it says something like 20,000 new posts and 5,000 new threads or some crazy **** like that.

The EVO version of DSMLink, whatever that ends up being called, is still in pre-planning stages. Sorry. It's not for lack of interest. Believe me. It's the one thing I'd like to do now more than anything else. It's just not happening until we free up some time. V2 upgrades have definitely started winding down and this crazy holiday rush we found ourselves in is also starting to wind down. It's just going to take time.

This is another great product that is very similair to the DSMLink. His new version he is working on has MANY more adjustment points for both timing and fuel. It also has the MAF Translator built in. Obviously can log and adjust timing and fuel. Pretty much identical to the DSMLink but with more points and built in MAF Translator. The only thing I havent heard of yet is if it will have the Anti-lag style launch and shift-no-lift. His new version still isn't finished yet but it looks bad ***. Here is his site.. read in his forums (The new feature section) and read up on his new version. www.ecuplus.com
