my brother put his turbo timer in the location of the stock digital clock on the dash and it works perfectly. He had no need for the clock since he put a new CD player in which of course has the time on it.

Yea, I second that, a pic would be cool. I even thought about doing something with that space on my Evo when I get it, this will help the decision

Thanks

Re: HKS Type-1 Turbo Timer

Okay guys, I got the HKS Type-1 Turbo Timer also, along with the 95-99 DSM harness. I've connected everything and although the timer works, the rpm sensor doesn't. I may have spliced into the wrong wire, pin 89, Crankshaft position sensor signal. Anyone have any ideas if this is the right wire to splice into?

Thanks in advance!

you should have had to splice the speed sensor wire as well pin # 86.... 89 is for the RPM's

Yes, I know the speed sensor works. I checked to make sure that the TT was displaying my speed when driving (in km/h though ). However, that's when I figured out the RPM sensor wasn't. I'm going to have to recheck my connection on pin 89.

Re: Re: Re: HKS Type-1 Turbo Timer

I rechecked my wiring and found the problem. Anyway, the turbo timer works great now, with the exception of the alarm not working with the timer (Can't turn the alarm on while the car is running ).

Here's where I installed the alarm...

it is a tight fit, but i'm not worried about scratches since it won't move anyway... and any scratches it does make, you won't be able to see ragardless... Yes it is a type 1 and it works great, only thing that sux is it is blue when lit up, and i would have liked it to be read... oh well can't have everything

You should have bought the type-0. It has red and orange back lights. However, you lose those extra features the type-1 has.

Ok, stupid question coming up... but I wanna double and triple check so I don't have to return the damn thing. For the HKS Type0/1 TT, you need the turbo timer harness for the 95-99 Eclipse, right? Yeah, it's repetitive, but I just want someone to assure me that I it's the harness for the 95-99 Eclipse that I need. Thanks a bunch.

This is what I used. HKS P/N 4103-RM006 and it's working right now.
