Which wire goes to where? I am confused and do not want to splice the wrong wiring. Parking brake goes to parking brake (that I know). RPM signal goes to Pin# 58 (Tach Signal Output) or 89 (Crankshaft Sensor Signal). Speed is definitely Pin # 86. Anything else I have to do? And anyone suggest that since I'm taking the ECU out, why dont I install the SAFC as well?

The type 0 may match better but it sucks compared to the type 1 and the type 1 I got new for 95.00 through a group buy with my friend who has a 96 eclipse. Yes the 95-99 harness for the eclipse is the right one. The extra features on the type 1 are real nice. 1/4 mile time etc....

If someone wanted to figure it out, I am sure you can take the HKS type 1 apart and change the backlit to red since it'swarning flash is red. You could probably switch them around.

btw.. For anyone installing, open the white wire holder near the ignition and put the ignition harness on the outside of it and the HKS 3-pin in there and then wire tie the orginal harness to the outside of the harness (loom that is running down the column). This gives you plenty of room to reinstall the lower steering column shroud and makes for a cleaner setup by the igiition switch.
Just my .02....

I just finished installing the HKS Type-0 TT today. I stuck it in the glove compartment flush with the left sidewall and velcroed it there. It works great! The glove compartment's center bulge (the locking mechanism) helps give you a margin of space on the left/right hand side of the bottom of the glove compartment and the TT is thin enough to fit into that margin of space. Plus, since I stuck it on the left side, the wiring doesn't stretch across the glove compartment, so it doesn't get in the way of whatever you wanna put in there.
I really don't think you need to put in a great effort of thinking as to where you wanna put the TT... I mean, it IS just a TT after all. Save room for your other displays and gadgets and gauges. Leave the TT hidden and easy to access whenever you need it. Just my $.02.

Is there any way to have the factory alarm work with the TT while the car is running? You can lock the doors with the remote while its running right?

Yes you can lock the doors. It doesn't interfere with the Immobilization since that is only when you start the car. If the parking brake is release or the car moves, the car will shut off once it goes into the countdown.

I have installed ....type1 US spec. You have to splice into crankshaft sensor signal pin 89 I believe and not teh tach signal output.

Back from the dead... I didn't happen to see this anywhere so I was wondering if anyone knew if you HAD to setup all the extra features of the Type-1 turbo timer...

I don't want to splice into my harness and just want the main Type-0 features... will the HKS TT still work if I dont hook up the extra features? Already have the Type-1 sitting here...
