Question EcuTek & Injector Scaling Questions...

Anyone who has experience in tuning using EcuTek (or any other flashing software), could you please layout what injector size is appropriate for what whp level using either C16 or Meth/Alky injection...

The reason I ask this is I'm wondering what size injectors to use on a GT35R setup w/ 93 octane + methanol to achieve 500whp ~ 550whp on an AWD DynoJet with EcuTek. I know stand-alone's can compensate for big injectors such as 1,000cc's easily... however, not sure what would be appropriate for my scenario... I'm thinking about either 780cc's or 880cc's... but not really sure yet.

The flashing softwear does not determine the injetor sizing - the power made and VE of the engine determine the size of injector needed

Any flashing platform can run up to 1000 injectors - of course the smaller the injector the better your idle

One thing i can't figure out is how does the flash or stock ecu or whatever piggyback compensate for injector battery offset?

I was under the impression that the stock ECU keeps the injectors open for longer periods of time compared to a stand-alone like the AEM... hence why it's more appropriate to use smaller injectors on any flashed stock ECU...

*bump* for an recommendation on what injectors to use on my setup...

The answer I pulled out of my *** when I was specifying my injectors was 850s. Since you're planning on running methanol injection you'll be able to squeeze out a little more out of both the injectors AND the fuel system. However, be careful if you think you'll be doing some C16 bonzai runs at 30psi since neither 850s nor a Walbro 255lph pump can deliver much more than 600whp.

EcuTek has the tables for injector battery offset, so you can run any injector you want.
