AMS Lancer Ralliart with an FP Red installed... SST loves it!

After putting the EVO X turbo on the Ralliart for a while with good success we hooked up with Forced Performance and decided to throw their venerable FP Red on it!

Many people are very anxious about the ability of the SST to hold up to upgraded power levels. We are very curious what it will be able to handle as well.

The AMS Ralliart current has installed on it:

AMS UICP
AMS FMIC
AMS Down pipe back exhaust
AMS Intake
AMS Boost Pill
AMS Small Battery Kit
AMS Prototype SST transmission cooler kit
AMS Custom Tune using ECUTeK
FP Red Turbo
DW 800cc injectors

After a bit of rescaling tables that previously never needed to be touched on the GSR's or the other MR's with smaller turbos, I got it tweaked out to the numbers seen below. This is using the factory single solenoid boost control system and one of our boost pills as well. Boost hits about 24-25psi and only drops to about 22 by redline.

The car now makes over 150whp more than it did from the factory. With the help of our friends at ECUTeK we now also have the ability to firm up the shifts on the SST, which helps it slip less when changing gears and also heat up the fluid less. It *MAY* increase the clamp load, but I am not 100% sure on that yet. Currently our SST transmission is showing no signs of slippage at all when under power.

I am very pleased with the results. This turbo makes about 60 more whp than the stock turbo did in the higher RPM range, which is exactly what I would expect from and upgrade like this.

^There's no Evo 10 in the equation. It was a stock X turbo on the RA, then they switched it to the FP red.
Edit: Maybe this is what you meant?? lol the hell if I know!

yikes...the power difference in the lower rpm range scares me from getting a bigger turbo. good top end nonetheless!

Since this is a RA, it either needs to be in a RA forum or in the AMS forum, not the Evo X dyno section.

lol funny story:

So I just got back from driving to and from California for the M.O.D Show. Well My car was at the shop getting some sticker work done. Arne (VP) told me to just take the ralliart home. Well for the past week I have been driving a 45,000lb Rig powered by a 8.3 cummins turbo diesel. I hop in the ralliart and when I get some open road I open it up. The thing throws me back in the seat and I say "holy ****, I gotta get me a ralliart with a x turbo on it...I swear to god its faster than a normal modded X" The next morning i come in and see this post and realize why the damn thing was so stupid fast lol!.

Honestly the lag is not that noticeable at all....hell it had me thinking it was a X turbo. The car just PULLS!!!! I think Jones is going to take it to the track this weekend to see what she can do

So has AMS has a chance to run this monster at the track? I am curious to see what times and trap speed they are getting with the red.
