a few people have done it. it seems its all done just after 700whp. Curt brown's car would put down over 700 on a dynojet, and there is another guy on this forum too.

Bringing this back from the dead.....

What would the powerband look like on a gt40-88r w/ the .68 housing?

Old thread, but I'll add another datapoint for the archives. The TO4R/T67 with an O trim in an .82 t3 housing reached 30 psi at about 4800 rpm. The FP3575 (same compressor wheel) seems to do about the same. This assumes 2.3 liters. On the DSM with 272s and a BJs intake manifold this was good for 65 lbs/min flow at that 30 psi. This will certainly get to the goal of 700-750 whp, but it's hardly streetable IMO.

See, I had a 2.4L with a t3 .82a/r 67/Ptrim and saw 31 psi at 5700-ish rpms in 4th gear on a dynojet. My setup was a little laggy but another DSMs around here with 2.4's and 67/Ptrim got 30-33 psi by 5300rpms 4th gear/dynojet. Another local 2.0L 9:1c/r dsm spooled 30psi/4th gear/dynojet on a T3 .63a/r 67/gt37 by 5300 so who knows, it's kinda all approximate guesstimations but you won't really know depending on all the small factors on your car. I'll let you know how a GT4067 spools on a stock 2.0L evo in a couple weeks here.

Maybe I'm missing something, are you saying that a FP3575 on a 2.3 is not very streetable?

Streetable is a very "meh" term. full boost by 4500 is plenty fine for half of the people, some people want it by 3500. The only difference is the amount of power people want.

Perhaps streetable is the wrong word. Say rather that though I have a healthy lag tolerance, I found it a bit "boring" on the street.

I would be interested me too in a bigger turbo than my actual GT35R with exhaust AR 0.82, and looking at Garrett turbos, i found a new GT dual ball bearing unit, T4 flanged, the GT4094R, that seems, looking at maps, a good choice for 750 whp, with decent spool on a 2.3, anybody has just tried this on a Evo?
As regards the exhaust manifold, having had good feeling with my actual Shearer, i would be oriented on a twin wastegated unit always always from Shearerfab, anybody has just fitted it?

T67 is a good turbo. definitly will reach the hp goal with the right combo. Its more streetable than u think, but everyone has there own opinion on "streetable" i guess.
