Tuning question

I have a mail in flash right now, I was wondering what would net more power with the mods I have. Someone had said I need a SAFC or AEM or possibly Utec. I also have a manual boost controller that is stuck, won't turn left or right . I was thinking of picking up a electronic boost controller. Any thoughts on those? Thanks in advance.

i think the best thing for you would be to get a custom tune. weather its a dynoflash or vishue or something along those lines. after you pick that i would talk to the tuner and see what they think. dyno flash will say just get a halman boost controller which i had for a while, but then got rid of it. now i have the xede am getting a custom tune tomarrow from shiv. the thing you need to ask your self is if your going to upgrade more or not, if not just get a flash if so get a xede, utec, etc. i was glad that i just bought a cheap boost controler b/c now my xede has one and i almost bought a i-color which would have been a waste.

custom dynoflash-350 electric boost control:400-900 manual-170 total of about 850
xede w/ boost control-750
utec-1000 electric boost control-400-900 total about 1500 at least

the nice thing about xede and utec is if you upgrade. i just did 280's and 3076 and all i have to do is call shiv and he can email me a map to run it. if you have a dyno flash it is another 100 and then another 250 next time he come local for another custom tune. shiv does charge for another custom tune, but not for a map that he has.

P.S. i think any route you go will be good one thing though i do like the electronic boost controller over the manuel boost conroller. so if you stay will dyno flash i would buy a electronic boost conroller for sure. also the nice thing about a piggy back and or a stand alone is that you can have a daily driver map and then a race gas map which is huge if you race for fun on the weekends. when i had the dyno flash i did notice a diffrence when i put race gas in, but now with a map just for it its a whole other beast.

Yea, whatever you do, youd be wasting your time with the SAFC.

With the Exede do you need a good local tuner or is a map already set up?

You obviously have no experiences with the Super AFC. We are constantly getting good gains with them and a boost controller. (40 whp+)
