Electronic Boost controller with no hose to cabin???

It has always annoyed me that most electronic boost controllers require you to run a boost line to the cabine to attach to the control box. I see no need for this since they can put the bost sensor in the engine bay, right near the boost source reducing hose length and installation hassle/space. We all know the shorter your boost control hoses the better control you get.

Anyway so that is my rant and here is my question: OTHER THAN AN MBC (for you wise guys out there) does anyone know of a boost controller that has the boost sensor in the engine bay / separate from the head unit (so I can run long wires if not included)??

I have a Profec B-spec that I like but I'm trying to avoid running a hose to the cabin. don't ask why I just really like that my boost gauge (DEFI VSD) allows me to put the sensor right on the fire wall very close to the FPR selonoid and has a nice LONG wire to run it to the brain. Anyway I'll sell that profec if I can find a controller that meets my requirements.

The new ProfecB Spec II does this. It only needs a wire to plug into the boost solenoid which resides in your engine bay. If you are looking for one i have a mint one used for only a month for sale. PM me if you are interested in one.

I have the Profec B Spec-II and it does require a boost line going to the back of the control unit in the cabin. However, it is only used to lower your boost setting when you hit your warning boost level.

Perhaps I wasn't clear?

What boost controllers do not require ANY vac lines to be run into the cabin?

Because according to the RRE web page install instructions for the Spec-2 you do have to run one just like my B-Spec.

And while I know the HKS runs a boost solonoid I'm pretty sure it still requires a line to be run to the head unit in the cabin so it knows what the boost is, just like the B-Spec and afaik the Spec-2

And you .. Mr TheGVR4PUNK had better watch yourself

Been a long time; how you been man. You keeping busy? As you might be able to tell I'm back in Ohio after spending some time in Las Vegas, Kuwait, and Albuquerque. I see youre now in FL? You weren't always there right?

Anyway nice to see familiar faces. I'm probably not going to be too involved here cause my real hobby is racing my R6 and we have a board for that too [who doesn't]. Got 2 seasons under my belt so that means I've had my *** handed to me enough times to know I'm not fast

Now that I have the evo I'm partnig out the mods and plan to sell the Talon. Had choice cause I swore I would be burried in it but it just isn't worth it especially with all the moving I do. I already have 3 cars 2 trailers and 2 motorcycles to move not including the talon

Yeah, I was out in Cali for awhile, finished up college in December, moved back near my hometown, bought an Evo and have been broke ever since! I guess there's only a small handful of us that went back out and bought Evos, everyone else bailed early and got Supras and LS1 cars. Oh well, I loved my Galant and the Evo is everything that car was with a bit more sprinkled on top.
