Hi, I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this. I've had an APS CAI fitted around 7k miles ago and I'm a bit conscious that it needs either cleaning and re-oiling or I need to replace the filter.

I'm ok with the cleaning/re-oiling part but in case it is damaged, is there anywhere to buy replacement APS cone filters? I've been looking everywhere for them and can only find the complete CAI kit. What diameter is the filter...I know it has to be of a specific size or it won't fit. Anyone used any other types of cone filters with the APS...and if so what brand and size?

you will need to measure yours then find out if K&N offers it you should be able to reoil yours

My APS CAI came with a K&N cone filter. I'm sure they can be ordered separately. Unless you've gone through some serious dirt/mud that you think has made its way into your inner fender well behind the splash guards, I'd say you have much more life left in your existing filter.
