Not really, as you cannot see it too well. The digits are really small, black and the LCD is retrolit in yellow or green. We used to to see the boost when "home tuning" the wastegate restrictor with a hammer!
It will also enable you to spot the manifold vacuum when idling to make sure your rings are tight, but it isnt really like having a boost gauge. The thing is smaller than a cigarette box!
You could kill two bird with one stone by buying an electronic boost controller with big digits (like an AVC-R). But it would be a more expensive stone
... and increase your engine power way above the 300 mark...
I hope this helps and isnt disappointing to you.
Let me try to get hold of MAXI

Yes
I have the blitz dual turbo timer fitted.
It should be very accurate and it has peak boost memory.
It's also really cheaper to get than a boost gauge, looks more modern, easy to fit, and for 200$ you have the turbo timer and boost gauge!
A boost controller is better of course as it allows to modify the boost, the blitz just monitor it.
The green lcd is quiet easy to read and you can fit it just above steering wheel mount.

The box can be mounted under the dash and just the controller in view.

This is where mine are coming from. I ordered the harness from the 95-99 Eclipse, also--I hope it works.
