evo 8 vs 9 int. man. diff.

I just would like to pass on / inform the community of the something i measured on a evo 9 intake manifold inlet id.

Last night i helped a friend install a 65mm throttle body on a evo 9.

Before boring out the inlet to the manifold, i measured the oem i.d. & discovered it to be 61.1mm for the evo 9 vs 60.0 mm on evo 8's?

THIS MEASUREMENT WAS ONLY OBSERVED ON 1 EVO 9. I cant confirm that all evo 9's are like this, or if this is from a certain vin forward, etc...

Just another subtle difference that may help us understand / bridge the gap in power differences between an evo 8 & 9.

Manufacturing tolerance? Perhaps nominal is 60.5mm and the tolerance is +/- 0.5mm.

Sorry for the OT, but WTF is this? I've seen this 5 times already today. Is there something wrong with just clicking "Subscribe" at the top of every thread in "Thread Tools?" Just wondering...

I think you missed my point One can simply click "subsrcibe" in "Thread Tools" rather than polute the thread with worthless replies. And speaking of polluting threads, sorry for the OT post WOT.
