I have been looking @ websites and comparing prices on the "HKS Cams and Cam gears" and I noticed that the Cams are $300+ and cam gears are $180+. For a while the Cams we're between $270 and $290 and cam gears we're $150 and $170. What's the deal vendors?

 

I think its already been discussed but its more than likely because of the increased price of metal.

 

Many factors, increased prices in most commodities. There is a lot demand from China and India causing prices to go up fast. Fuel costs don't help either... it has one of the largest spread effects on our economy.

Have you checked out GSC cams? They are almost identical.

 

One word: Inflation

I heard the bill for the Carbon EVO repairs were a little steep so they had to raise some pricing. Ok I didn’t really here that.

There has been an increase in materials or the blanks and shipping costs have risen as well. I’m sure by the end of the year we will have to raise our Evo 8 cam prices, but as of now it’s not a problem
