02 Sim Install questions

Okay, so I got an 02 sim from

http://www.mileliminatorsonline.com/

I installed it yesterday, but I keep throwing P0141. I took some pics of the install. Did I hook something up wrong?

according to the directions posted here
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...0&page=1&pp=15

I was supposed to connect the wires as follows

Red wire on 02 sim to black (red on the other side of the plug)
Black wire on 02 sim to white
Yellow wire on 02 sim to blue

the second yellow on the sim is if there are 2 02 sensors, so I just left it alone. Since I had cut all the wired, I reconnected the black heater ground to the 02 sensor.

help please?

thanks

Why don't you just go buy 2 anti fouler's from your local auto store. And call it a day. It cost 4 bux, if you have a drill bit. if not it might cost 10 and no more codes!

sorry, forgot to mention, I already tried the antifoulers. I still kept throwing a P0137 code.

you have to solder the connections, are they soldered under those plastic twist on connectors? if not, solder the connections.

I have the perrin o2 sim and It seems like it hooks it completely different, I would imagine it should be similar, make sure you have all your wires right, Usually with an 02 sim you have to cut the main o2 reading wire then feed the input of the o2 sim to the wire going to the ecu and the ouput of the o2 sim going back to the atual o2 sensor. On my car I did all soldering under the console, I used the red/yellow wire for power, just grounded to the chassis, then cut the white wire. All these wires can be found under the gloss black smooth wire harness shield and then inside there you will see the red wire with yellow stripe to use for power, then you will have to open some more shielding inside there to find the white wire.

you don't cut the wires you splice into the wires.splice red into the blackred 12 volt heater wire, splice black into the whiteblack sensor ground wire.cut the bluewhite wire and connect the yellow wire to the ecu side of the cut.from the sounds of it you have the wrong o2sim to start with.i got mine from this site. www.o2simulator.com .it cost me 20 pounds delivered to the uk.if you check this site out it has all the install instructions and wiring colour codes for many performance applications.

on my 02 sim you CUT the wire for the o2 sensor signal, thats the only way it will work, I should know because thats how I did it with my perrin, I would imagine other o2 sims would work the same way.

There it is! Okay, I was under the impression that all the wires were cut, and replaced with 02 sim wires. Apparently it's only the signal (blue) wire that's cut, and the other ones are spliced. So, for those of you listening at home, I just stripped the wires coming out of the floor from the 02 sensor (should be 2 blacks and 1 white, leave the blue). Added the wires from the 02 sensor side into my twists so they match up with where they were originally going, and there we have it. No code. Well, I don't want to jinx it, but that P0141 code will appear instantly, and I started up my car twice and didn't throw a code. I'll probably solder those wire unions at some point to make the connections more secure, but I'm going to leave the wire nuts on there for a little while to make sure it's wired right.

thanks for the help people.
