Um..I thought they last longer then copper? Is it a big problem that I am running Iridium or can I just keep them in until I need new ones, then get copper?

BBY, yes, Iridiums last longer than coppers in ideal situations, but that's a low boost and minimal mods. When running higher boost and more power on a daily basis, it's better to have coppers for reliability and because they're so much cheaper to switch out.

If your iridiums are doing fine for your setup, then by all means keep using them until they foul out.

If anything on lower octane, you would want colder plugs! As in 8 range BPR8es.

My knock voltage lowers when I run 8's over 7's on 91oct. But what do I know.

Go with BR.

BPR's have an exposed electrode. BR's do not. I've had better luck with the BR's and others have as well.

Crap you already know the difference lol

The non-protruding tips seem to run a lil cooler. I've never got a P0300 with them either.

Yes, I believe it is 30*F of additional heat removed from the cylinder.

It is a combination of everything, plug, octane gas, boost levels, gap. For example a honda tuner friend of mine was tuning a car c16 and a 7 heatrange plug.. 1.8l motor @26psi car made 505hp.. @26psi. He brought the car to the dyno next day on same plugs and gas(almost gone) and the car made 501hp baseline and he wanted to up boost which is why he brought it back. He swapped plugs to a 9 heatrange plug to accept the higher boost level and baselined at 497hp with the colder plug same boost. He finally ran out of gas and was not able to get c16 that day and only had 110 octane. So he fills up with 110 octane and 9 heatrange plugs and the car I swear to god went from 497hp to 605hp on the very next pull. He was in shock, I was in shock and Stoopid aka Jason was in shock. So we figured the c16 was too hard to burn even though we had a 7 heatrange plug.

More than I, I'm sure, but I'm talking about 6000' where 91oct is like 93oct. That's why they have 85, 87, and 91 here.

What gap is advisable with the 8's running on pump and 21#? I was surprised to see on the racing forum that the guys run a tight .020". Is tight better with the 8's?

I run BR8ES with a .025-026 gap and it works great, no misfires what-so ever.
