I don't mind drilling and tapping it myself. I may have them do it if I had the EGT probe now but for around $250 for a Defi BFR EGT gauge, (don't flame me, this is my only vanity unlike so many body kits and super expensive rims out there) I think I am going to wait till next spring. And I dont like the idea of plugging it although I will if that is the way to go about it, but if I can just wait and drill through the coating without effecting it later then I'd rather do that. It seems from what people say I should be able to. Of course I will call Buschur about this before I send them my parts but as I said, I just wanted to get an idea before I waste anyones time with phone calls.

I hear ya man Nothing wrong with good gauges

You should get 2 bolts for the front side of the manifold (where it bolts down to the hotside) This will make life easier in the future when you just want to remove the manifold. I for one wouldn't tap the mani while the car was running.

I hear ya. That was my plan. Def not gonna drill/tap while its on the car. And while I have an extra mani now off the car maybe I should just plug it now that I think about it.

I have a thing of copper based anti-seize but dont they make a more high temp type that is nickel based or something? I thought I saw it before with a blue label or something. I'm gonna call Buschur soon and ask them their opinion. I am thinking a 1/8" NPT plug with high temp anti-seize should work. I didnt think of that when I posted before about not wanting to plug it.

Anyone on here do this personally? Meaning you plugged it and then added your EGT later or even still have it plugged? How many people are running around with plugs in their manis???

My manifold was drilled for the EGT sensors after it was coated. I haven't noticed any issues.
