Hey guys I was messing around with my Evo the other night and I noticed a square black box mounted behind my cooling fan in front of the engine. There is a connector for some sort for a harness but there is no harness plugged into it, nor is there any harnesses around which would plug into it... Any one know what this box is for or controls?

 

that sounds like the MAF sensor.. behind your intake.. before the turbo inlet..

 

HAHAHAHAH Did you read anything that I jsut posted, there is NO harness which plugs into it, if i need to take a picture I will..... MAF hahah man i'm not that stupid

 

there are 2 plugs that plug into the bottom of that module. What the module is for is a mystery so far to me.

 

Maybe it's for servicing.. To plug a computer into it for CEL's or something?

 

all that is usually preformed through the Diag Port, under the dash
