Bigger BOV needed with Bigger Turbo???

For those of you with bigger than stock turbos, Do I absolutely need to get a bigger flowing bov like a greddy type rs/s or hks for a 3076 setup or will the stocker mr diverter valve be good enough to use/last with this particular setup? Thanks!

It depends? what kind of boost do you plan on running? I would not say its absolutly nessary unless you plan on running crazy boost..... just my 2 cents

I don't know if the MR DV will work, but I can tell you that I had to go from a Greddy Type-S to a Greddy Type-RS when I went with a bigger turbo. The type-S was either causing compressor surge all over the place or would not hold enough boost (this on 23 psi boost). The RS, which is slightly bigger (40mm diameter vs. 37mm) fixed that.

I plan on only running 22psi at the most and have it tuned ectuek for now on 91 peepee cali water. Then eventually after aem ems tuning it at the same boost levels. Power wise on 91 octane i dont know what to expect from only 22 pounds of boost along with the usual mods of cams ,tbe , fuel. So then then general consesus get the bigger bov valve then eh???

if your running 22psi your fine with the mr dv, it can easily hold 24psi. keep it so you have the nice smooth drivability that you will probably lose a little with an after market bov (dv)

Ok I will thanks for the info . I was only asking because some local vendor told me I had too and wasn't so sure if he was just trying to make a sale or was being sincere in telling me that?
