what do you mean by bad? is it making any noises? causing vibrantions? it is pretty hard to tell on an AWD car but if you lift the car and remove the drive shaft you should be able to spin one wheel and the other one spin as well. if it doesnt move then you got a week one.

at low speed turns in first gear either left or right turns the car vibrates. from outside the car it sounds like a grinding "gear" noise coming from the rear of the car...

i've heard differential from multiple sources, but which one?

What fluid was used in the rear diff? Redline? I made a thread not more than two weeks ago about the same problem. I took the Redline out, and it went away. I'll find it for you.

He did use the Redline Shockproof!
damn dude that might just be it!

thanks! I hope this is it...I got an app't at my buddy's shop tomorrow to check everything out, and we're draining the fluids. Hopefully that's all it is...he's the one that suggested the fluid, so if that's it...looks like I'll be getting free fluid changes!

I bet you it's the damn fluid. Like I said above in my thread, some people seem to love it, but for some, like me and you, it's a damn nightmare. Please post your results after you get them changed. Again, it's not the shops fault, there are just some Evo's that don't like it.

Put in the DiaQueen fluid and dump in a bottle of the friction modifier!

Thanks for the help guys. I changed the t-case and the rear diff fluids with Mobil 1 75w90 and so far today it's 32094823% better. The rear diff mag drain plug had some shavings on it, so hopefully everything's okay. The fluid out of both diffs looked dark purple (not pepto colored) so I think that there's nothing really wrong just didn't like the rear LSD.

Did about 15 figure-8s right after the install, and no grinding/shuddering. Drove 20 mins home, did more fig-8's and no problem. Hopefully that's all it was.
