car not boosting..what can I check for?
Are the symptoms of blown IC pipes on Evos with MAF or speed density? I would think he converted considering hes running an EMS. Im sticking to my guns, if I'm wrong, eh, so what, all I know is this has happened to me, and a blown pipe was the problem. Anyone else have first hand experiance with IC piping comming apart while running an EMS?

On a MAP based car it will definitely be harder to diagnose!
With the car off, try removing your intake and spinning the turbine shaft with your fingers. If it doesn't spin, or spin freely, you've got a bad turbo.
The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago on my 2G DSM, only the symptom was intermittent. Sometimes I'd have full boost, other times I had absolutely none. The turbine wheel was getting jammed up against the walls of the compressor housing...obviously a bad turbo.
Also, double check that the wastegate actuator arm is still attached to the flapper on the hotside.

^I will check the turbo itself.
thanks for the help guys. From tomorrow I will start checking these various things.
I really hope that warr is wrong with the turbo being shot....that will hurt! Only good thing can come out of it is I would opt for the 37R this time.
gruppe-s....I dont have a cat..so its gotta be something else.
and as for the IC piping....it's all good.

do turbos really just go like this?
sounds like a turbo failure. If you push a turbo hard, outside it's efficiency range and overspin it with regularity, it will prematurely fail. But with a 35R, I doubt that's the case. I'd check to verify you're BOV is functioning properly and isn't udersized or misadjusted if in fact you have a blown turbo. It would be bad to slap a new turbo on just to have it fail also. Good luck!
