22 psi evo 8 wastegate on a ix turbo?

Whats up everybody, I think my stock ix wastegate is having issues. I was wondering if a 22psi evo 8 wastegate is a good idea to install. I am running about 23psi of boost. Will this effect my tune?

Don't bother, just buy a boost controller and install it.

Edit: Yes it can affect your tune.

Do you have the VIII WGA already? Normally, the IX actuators won't fit the VIII turbos and vice versa. At your peak boost level probably the FP HD 18 PSI IX actuator is the way that I would go.

Before you go and spend money though I would try adjusting the spring tension on your stock IX actuator. It should work fine in the low 20's range that you have peak boost set at.

Shortened my stock ix wastegate actuator rod and walla its fixed. Be sure for those of you who do this to turn your crack pressure down to compensate for the new preload.
