by the look of the exhaust position, it seems that the exhaust might be sticking out if we were going to install it on the car with JDM IX rear bumper.
Can someone please confirm the fitment of this exhaust on an evo with JDM IX rear bumper...

also does this exhaust has any taper down in the pipe like the fujitsubo legalis R...

picture would be great...

many thanks in advance.

That looks really sexy and doesn't look like something that will get you pulled over. How's the sound though?

It appears to only have one small resonator which is impressive because they sell it as a quiet system-- is it really as quiet as they say it is?

I heard the exhaust the other night and I must say it sounds amazing, it has a deep tone to it but it's not drowning. And I believe tanabe announces it being under 93db throughout the RPM range which is as quiet as stock. I will definately be going with this exhaust after I have some funds.

DanJ, the Medalion Touring is currently sold out, pending our next shipment from Japan. Please feel free to PM us if you would like a direct referral to a vendor who can take care of you!

dolemite45, the sound clips on our website dont quite do the exhaust system justice, as the microphones on the camera we used do not pick up the low frequency bass type sounds that well. The Medalion Touring has a very deep tone that some would say is "exotic", but it is not loud. It's very hard for us to put into words how it sounds, but do a search for "Medalion Touring" and there should be quite a few threads from people who have this system.

Dave,

I saw your thread about getting cleared on all charges in your exhaust ticket fight-- congratulations! Medalion Touring is definitely on the "safer" side when upgrading the exhaust. I remember writing quite a lengthy email to you to help you with your court battle--- regardless if it helped in your fight or not -- glad to hear you won!

-Mike

I am interested in the product, but I'm reluctant to seriously consider a purchase without some comparative dyno graphs. Could you post some? I'm sure many others would like to see them, as well.

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. It's impossible to tell from all the pictures I've found. I need to know if this will match up with a full 3" test pipe or if the flange is smaller. As I stated in the MA exhaust laws thread, I'm always looking for ways to quiet the car down, and this sounds like something I would be interested in, if I don't have to give up my full 3" setup.

From the picture above, it does apear to neck down. The photo kinda -hides- it but if you look close enough, you can see a section that does look like it necks down slightly.

Has anyone taken a close look at the exhaust? Any possible issues with it performance-wise? Anyone have an idea whether the JDM version of the Touring will fit a USDM Evo IX (with JDM rear bumper)? I'd rather not have to modify an exhaust to look decent with the bumper this car should have come with...

It does look like it would stick out on the jdm rear bumper. my greddy sp2 is very close to this exhaust . and it sticks out about a 1/4"on my JDM rear bumper.
