Tanabe Concept G - Pass Beer Can Test???

Does anyone know if the "Tanabe Concept Blue G" Turbo Back Exhaust pass the beer can test? Is this a true 3" turbo back exhaust?

I'm thinking about purchasing it, but ppl have told me that this system may taper.
Please post opinions or reviews. Thanks.

its actually 80MM (3.17") true exhaust. I installed one on my buddies Evo IX and already ordered mine for my Evo VIII. it doesn't neck down at all. it sounds nice and I can't wait to get mine. I ordered mine from Evasivemotorsports but i guess i got the illiterate guy at the warehouse cuz they sent me the Touring instead. so i am in the middle of getting that corrected now. UPS has to pick mine back up before they will send out my Concept G. go with that exhaust.

Okay, so. . .the beer can fits? Or does it just look like 3" diameter? I'm only asking you this because a lot of exhaust manufacturers are claiming different diameters, than what they truely are.

i never stuck a beer can down the pipe or anything but it doesn't neck down at all and passed the 3" ruler measurement and looks enormous next to the stock exhaust.

Hey, I talked to Tanabe and the DP is 70mm. Test pipe is also 70mm. Catback is 80mm with small reduction where the muffler joins.

What happend to the "fist test" from back in the day? When the whole "rice" craze blew up.

Beer can = Less than 65mm.

This is just getting to be too ridiculous.

Want to pass the beer can test? Stick this beer can into it (and I'll be impressed).

I agree. Whatever happened to using a set of dial calipers or a ruler to actually measure something. Beer cans are a real measuring tool on evoM now? Send it out to be calibrated while you are at it.

The "beer can test" was being used as a METAPHOR by the guy to ask if the exhaust piping was consistent throughout or not.

Beer cans are only allowed in the "ADVANCED" section...
