Personally I like the APS BOV, make sure you have your Greddy recirculating. You should be glad its quiet, it is not supposed to make noise, that is not the purpose of the valve. What made you need to replace it in the first place?

hha You're joking right? The Greddy Type S is supposed to make a whistling sound ESPECIALLY if it's not recirc. And yes, part of the purpose of the valve IS for the sound. That's why most people with pretty much stock boosted cars get them.

No I'm not joking, I hate to tell you but a blow off valve is NOT for sound, and you should recirculate your BOV unless you want your car to run like crap. Why would you want your blowoff valve yo whistle, that would be SO annoying. Your logic sounds like a ricer mod to me, I'd hate to be your car.

After reviewing the thread, this is your one, sole warning with the name calling and member bashing... next you're out of here!

Uh, Assassin, no, if anything, then what you said is the least intelligent of all. The BOV is not for making noise. Ricers BUY them to make noise, but that is not the purpose of it. The purpose is to hold boost. The manufacturers make them loud so that ricers will buy them.

I have no idea why you're calling someone an idiot or retard when you don't realize that your car technically has a DV and not a BOV. Your stock diverter valve does NOT "blow off" into atmosphere, which is the technical meaning of a BOV. Buying any true BOV for the Evo while still utilizing the MAF is pointless. Using a DV like the stocker or one that's better than stock is very smart.

Thanks for backing me up Warrtalon! You said basically the same thing I was going to before my computer crashed! Anyways, I really have nothing to say to you Assasin. Anyways, I have a short antenna because the stock antenna looks gays. Also the Blitz radiator cap is high pressure which keeps the cooling system cooler. Also I have the APS valve, like Warrtalon mentioned, to hold boost better, and NOT to make noise as you so claim that's what they're for. The 05's have plastic valves stock, so I wanted to upgrade something a little more robust. I don't think any of the things I have done to my car constitute ricer mods.

I said they have 2 purposes. Sound AND performance. Your stock BOV, performed just fine. you didn't need to change it.

But some day I might need to change it and its just peace of mind. I swear it holds the boost higher closer to red line better, so I am glad that I bought it. At least its one less thing I'll have to do later before I get tuned. I don't know why you have to come across so mean, we're all here to help each other I thought!
