my 06 evo mr is bone stock. I was just wondering if i can benefit from just leaving off the rear section of the muffler. thanks

ok so i did pull it off... to tell u the truth, i got better gas milage. lol. i did feel a lil in power difference. is it ok if i do run this way until i get an exhaust?

Did you just simply take the muffler off, or did you bolt on a type of tail pipe to route the gasses out from under the car? I put a similar type of unit on my car for a bit before I got my full exhaust and I did notice a little gain. I wouldn't want to run without something back there to route the exhaust out from under the car as it get pretty damn hot. Works and Buschur sell a type of axle back tailpipe muffler delete, or you can get a competent muffler shop to fabricate on up for you. Hope this helps.

 

I hope you drive with the windows down. You have a 40k car. Why notjust buy an exhaust.

 

I eventually did. The muffler delete pipe was to entertain me while I was figuring out what to get. I bought it used from a friend.

 

Hey evocs sorry I should of been clearer I was agreeing with you about the delete pipe. And disagreeing with the guy who just took off his exhaust. What he is doing is pretty dangerous and he probally lost power.
