Headlight Mod Exactly like JDM MR
I wonder if anybody has ever done a blackout headlight mod as exactly as the jdm MR, with the top parking light section being clear, and the lower turn signal section being amber?
I am assuming, to do the amber turn signal, we just need to paint the turn signal reflector piece amber/orange. Should we just leave the top parking light section chrome, and take out the amber reflector??

The JDM clear portion is different from the USDM in that the lens is beveled.
If you do leave the USDM amber section silver, as in don't paint that portion, the lens is clear over that piece and you'll see the little wedge bulb holder. The JDM piece is beveled so you don't see that piece, and looks much better by doing so.
We paint lights here as well, and we tried it, and they didn't look great. I ended up putting the amber lens back in place.

What if the amber lens are painted chrome? Wonder if that look good even tho the clear len is not beveled like JDM?

The lower amber piece isnt the same and the outer housing isn't the same. I was going to do it but it would have been a ***** to do right. You cant just paint the lower turn signal amber because its concave and the JDM amber piece goes directly behind the lens.
