Evo turbo timer...any NON-SPLICE harnesses??

Really easy question...are there any wiring harnesses that will plug into the factory wiring for a turbo timer?? I do NOT want to cut or splice anything.

Thank you very much....I'll try the search. That link makes everything look easy! Looks like the OEM wiring stays in tact.

Be careful however, I thought that I wouldn't need to splice anything when I got my TT and 95-99 DSM harness. However, to take advantage of the "other" features of the TT, you WILL need to splice into the ECU harness. I'm thinking that if you just want to use the TT as a simple TT, such that you tell it to idle for a set amount of time, and it will do that and only that, then maybe you can just ignore the other wires? I know the HKS type-1 turbo timer will not work unless the "parking brake" wire is connected.

Full install?

Looks like that isnt a full install, as it doesnt deal with the O2 sensor interface, or is this part of the harness? Same question with the handbrake shutoff, this is part of the harness?

The same harness is used with the Blitz TT, and I assume with it you still need to do the boost guage somehow outside the adapter harness, correct?

Wondering,

Well that install is just a basic TT boost gague and such is mroe features beyond just a TT that owuld rrequire more wires. But yeah your right most will need to splice into the e-break wire, but that won't void your warranty unless you somehow blow your ebreak light they wouldn't replace it.

Wondering,
I just installed the Blitz DTT(which is great) and you do need to connect to the parking brake wire (not a big deal) and go through the firewall with the supplied vacuum hose to get boost readings. Everything else works off of the 2G harness.
I hope to have some pics and install notes up in the next few days.

If it makes u feel better, I m in the same situation. I jsut ordered my TT type 1 US spec. I also bought the 2g eclipse harness to avoid splicing wires. I guess we will have to splice to use all teh functions or even the TT itself.

You could wait for someone to make an ECU harness for the EVO, the you can just splice that.

It's not that hard of an installation once I get to the ECU and hook up some wires. Maybe I can stick the wires in there and not splice it I hope. The parking brake I can care less since they can void my parking light warranty

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to tap the parking brake's wire to the timer?
What's the color of the wire? and
What kind of things need to be removed before I can see the wire?

Thanks in advance.

u need to remove bottom center console. Based on HKS installation manual... the ebrake wire should be gray.

Thanks for the reply EvoJimbo.

I just finished installing the apexi turbo timer and found out that the parking brake wire is actually blue with red stripe.
