I just finished installing the apexi turbo timer and found out that the parking brake wire is actually blue with red stripe.
I need to do this too. I just installed my TT, but was trying to figure out what wire on the ebrake. Was this located on one of the connectors near the plugs towards the front?

bigd,

If you remove the hand rest by removing the 2 screws inside the
hand rest's pocket and then pull the whole thing out, you will see that there is a blue with red stripe wire that connects to the parking brake's handle. That is the wire that you need to tap.

You can trace the wire to the front and tap it there if you want to.

I was too lazy to trace the wire so I pulled out the TT wire from the front to the handle and tapped it right there. By doing it this way I don't need to worry about splicing the wrong wire.

Hope this helps

just a note for the lazy people - you don't HAVE to splice the parking brake wire to the actual parking brake (wire). It just needs to be grounded.

I just installed the Blitz dual TT with the 95-99 eclipse harness and it was simple and works great. The install took about 20 minutes.

Chris,
how did you hook up the boost gauge part of the TT?

I already had a vacuum line run for my boost gauge so I used the supplied "T" fitting and tapped into that. If you don’t have that run there is a large rubber grommet in the firewall for a large wire harness on the passenger side that is fairly easy to use for the line, which is what I used.

I forgot to ask, where did you mount both units? Pictures?
I'm going to get the Blitz DTT(black), and Im trying to figure out if I want it on the center console, on the steering column, or near the fog light switch.

do you really need to splice the wire? is the wire hard wired into the ebrake?
