JAM is top-notch, but not necessarily an Evo expert. NRcooled had his blown motor stroked by JAM.

RRE would be an excellent choice since they are in SoCal.

A motor is serious business, its not like getting a BOV, not liking it, and getting another one. this is one of the largest purchases you will make for your car, research it till you get callouses on your digits!! I didn't want a motor when mine "let go", but knew which shop I would get it from, if it gave up on me, it did, and I went AMS.

Is that where you are going to take your car ?

Also how many miles on your car before the motor blew ?

I had 27,200 miles miles when it spun the bearing. It was my fault like i said before and RRE is where my car will be going.

Ok..stop. Put down the cheeseburger and listen. Take the car to AMS, leave them a signed blank check, then sit back and relax. When the beast is done, Martin will give you a call and thats when the fun begins.

good luck with your build...i am almost finishing the break in on my 2.4l...have you considered which engine management you are goning to run...because chances are the stock ecu wont work with the 2.4l. congratulations on opening a BIG can of worms!!! but once it is finished you will surely appreciate it!
