+1 Start a thread on it, and let everyone know how you like it. I started one on the AMS stroker kit, and it leads to good reading to those who are "researching" this motor. Best of luck.

I found your write up about your ams 2.3 Smoked. Very detailed and useful info. AMS is not the only company that makes top quality turbo kits, engines, etc.

In my situation I"m choosing and company that specializes In EVO, a shop that is relatively close, and a shop that can take care of everthing. RRE fits my wants and needs. AMS has a outstanding reputaion here and there is no doubt in my mind that if there were in California I would gladly take my car there. When you have to deal with shipping companies things happen. I would rather not take those risks.

I had no idea that RRE built stroker motors or any motors, but they are indeed a top-notch shop for DSMs and Evos - just as long as they're sold on EcuFlash now and don't try to get you to use an SAFC for tuning.

The other day, I went to RRE and picked up a complete Zeitronix wideband setup.

RRE is about 30 minutes away from me, so I would be very interested to know how it all turns out.

I understand. I by no means meant that AMS is the ONLY shop with a good stroker motor, but they sell the most for a reason. I just never heard any info on the RNR stroker, that is why I suggest you do the kind of "thread" I am doing with the AMS motor, but with the RNR motor. that way, you can help out alot of people who are looking for strokers in the future!! I would like to read up on it also. Good luck again, and keep us posted.

RRE is a top notch organization that not only builds 4g63 engines, but races them also. Just because they are not on this forum doesn't mean they don't know what the hell they're doing. It would make no sense to have to pay shipping on a motor and core when you have a very good, if not elite, 4g63 shop in your area.

Just my 0.02.

Thats your 0.04c, because you seem upset. This is an EVO forum, the largest out there. I think you would post feedback on their engine on here, from the evo owners who have their stuff. They are on here "chatting" up their stuff, so I know they are in here. I just don't know anyone who has their stuff, it probably is good, but why do most go with the tried and true AMS/Buschur? they sell lots of them, plenty of feedback from the field, and they keep improving on them, for the subsequent ones they push out the door. I know about RNR turbo kits and "fitment" issues, and cracking this and that. I hope that R&D doesn't make its way into a stroker motor.

If they were elite EVO motor builders, we would be talking about THEM, NOT AMS/Buschur. I am not knocking their stuff, just would like to get some feedback from some "users" of the equipment, thats all. Now that is my 6C. I still love you JJ
