Am I running too Rich or Lean?
Am I running too Rich or Lean?
I made an appointment with Tuning Technologies to get my car flash & tune last sat, somehow they cant tune mine due to their extremely pack schedule, they wont able to tune it until next sat, I'm going to the track on the 12th, dont think I can find a shop to tune the car before I go, here's what I got so far,
HKS RS Intake
HKS SSQV
HKS EVC
HKS Timer
Walbro 255L Fuel Pump
Espelir DownPipe
Indivia Test Pipe
I was going to install the exhaust cam last night, but not feeling safe to run it without proper tuning. Do you guys think I'm running too rich or lean, is it safe to drive on the track before I get it tune?

Holy cow, that's an awful combo of mods, especially untuned. Intake untuned? Ouch. SSQV on a MAF? Awful. Downpipe and testpipe with no cat-back? Wtf. Fuel pump with no tune? That is going to be one poorly-running car, and even when it's tuned, it won't be that great. Very poor combo of mods that was also expensive for no reason. I would never recommend trying to race with that setup and no tune - that's dangerous.
Well, you are going to run rich at about 5500 and up because of the fuel pump. You will probably run a bit lean on open loop thru the midrange because of the intake.
The car is probably rich enough uptop to take it to the track (dragstrip?), but truthfully, i wouldnt.
So if it is the dragstrip, yes you could, but i wouldnt myself. You wont get very good time anyways before the tune
If it is a road course, i would say no, get tuned first
And complete your exhaust!
