I've been inspired by several others over the years here Not really ported, no. I tried to smooth as much of the rough cast finish off the interiors of the pieces, marked the openings from the gaskets and then ground them all to match with a die grinder.

How much difference did the coating make with the under hood temp?

What is that cover on the HKS filter?

Well I went from a bare 304SS tube mani with no heat shields- to everything coated from the motor to the down pipe and with the shields back in place, so, the difference was dramatic in underhood temps.

outerwears.com is the company that makes the pre-filter for the HKS RS filter. It is hydrophobic (keeps water out) and the fine dust HKS filters are notorious for letting in. I heard about through this board. Search for "outerwears" IMO great prouduct and cheap!

Just sanded em' down and painted w/ semi-flat wheel paint. Sucks though,I did it over the winter, so now I have my summer tires on the painted stockers and my winter tires got the 17X9 black 5zigs sitting in the garage.
