Changed Spark plugs... No help
Change MAF - No Help
Put stock Fuel pump in - No help
Flash back to stock - No help
Checked injectors - No help. Mechanic told me that if it were the injectors then some plugs would look different than others. My Plugs were consitant.
Check IC Piping - Need to do that
I was running a little low on oil so I bought some Mobile 1 5w-30 only one quart and put in. Could the ECU be reading knock because of the lighter oil 1qt?!?!

Its not the fuel... What happens when you run really low on fuel?!
This started right after I ran outta fuel like a idiot.
Can air in the fuel lines make a car run lean all the time?!
Anybody know something?

So when you run out of gas sediment can clog your filter. Well what if you got sediment or nasty gunk in your line (pre filter)? Sounds improbable but would cause flow impediment and stuttering right? What about trying additives? Cleaning agents and water removers? I know I'm really reaching, but I'm trying to help you out bro and the logical options are narrowing down. I don't know about 5w30. I've run it without problems in a pinch.

The car would start even without suficient oil, most likely its the fuel if that was the only thing that went wrong (run out of gas).

Open your rear sea, take out your fuel pump, make sure little filter is clean.
Replace fuel pump with new one if you still have stock its a good idea anyways.
You can also check fuel pressure with a gauge (carefull if doing yourself). about 2+bars at idle.

Good luck, report back with findings.

I changed Fuel pump back to stock yesterday and thats not it.. The car doesnt idle unless im giving the car about 8% throttle.

Ok if the injectors are clogged would that be the car runs really lean? But @ fuel throttle it seems fine which is 10.7 - 11.1 AF.

OH BTW I got the car to idle today. When I first started it it ran like normal. Drove it to Advance Auto and it was fine until I got to the store. It died when I pulled into my space. I got it to idle again by holding the gas down to about 8% then letting go VERY slowly then it idles like normal.

Now the screw that is on the intake manifold that I THOUGHT was to control the idle, I turned it a few times like back in 05 but it hasnt done anything until this incident.

^^ I don't get that last part??

I would definitely look at the fuel filter with 87,000 miles on it.
The fuel filter is not that filter on the pump, that is just a pickup filter.

I have kind of the same symptoms. I had my motor "detailed" yesterday, first time ever. when the detailer popped the hood, it looked "WET" under the hood. The thing dies now, the battery/alternator light comes on, and it stalls. when those lights are on (alt/Batt) the car will run lean on the AEM UEGO A/F gauge. I think something got "wet" and is causing the problem. Not sure though. last time I got the ALT light on, I had a cracked oil-pan, and slung oil into the alternator. (Had to get a new one). I wonder what the stuff was, that he put on the motor to make it look so "wet". hope he didn't trash my alternator again. But again, I stall out now when foot off the gas. I will keep you posted.

MY GUESS ON YOUR PART............Since you ran your fuel so low, you sucked up sediment into your fuel filter from the bottom of the tank, and that is your problem. Razorlab gets my vote on this one. Just clean that, and you are set. Thanks Razor for this diagram, it will come in handy!!

Tim, Razor
There is a little screw on the throttle body close to the firewall side and altered but I guess thats not my problem.

Thanks a lot I never even CHECKED that filter. I was thinking that the pickup filter was the only one. Ill check it later today, ill be driving the van to church this morning. Ill let yall know what I find. BTW is this filter expensive or is it washable?
