I know a guy that is running their stroker kit and is approaching 700hp on it. He has had many runs and no problems at all.

They're top notch. I'm an extremely particular buyer and spent about two hours with them on the telephone to get some questions answered. If/when I move to a 2.3L, they'll have my business.

JAM is a good shop that knows how to build motors, but I don't know why one would take a chance there instead of going with Buschur or AMS. Is JAM significantly less expensive or something?

I'm going with them because they're local and that I have yet to hear anything bad about them in the DSM/EVO community. I looked into them when NRcooled recommened JAM on one of my threads, after an hour on the phone they got my bisienuss. AMS and Bushur are both great but I got a warmfuzzy after talking with JAM which is why I'm dropping my block off there this week.

Yeah, I can see doing it if you're local - that saves a lot of hassle and shipping costs probably. I figured that's why Bakari went there, too, but I don't know why someone from CA would do it with all the proven BR and AMS strokers out there. Bakari's worked, but I haven't seen any great power or track times out of it...

I don't make tons of power but that's not my goal. I went with their stage 2 2.3l build and I love it.

No noise, no oil consumption, runs smoother then stock and they hooked me up with a future purchase.

They are just awesome people. if you want numbers, give Carmella a call and she will be more then happy to hook you up with the information. There are a lot of Evos running around with JAM strokers making good power it's just they aren't on EvoM.

BR and AMS are good and I am saying now that JAM is better. Why? Customer service and they actually build their own blocks.

BR can't say that and I don't know if AMS actually assembles their's themselves. Why deal with a middle man when you can go straight to the builder.

their follow up is awesome

they use custom venolia coated pistons (john force uses these)

they torque plate hone

have their own lifters, etc....

and use oliver rods etc... and keep the balance shafts....

i think their attitude and such seperates them from other known engine builders...

motors are built for reliability... not power. a head is built for power, and hopefully reliability. jam does good stuff from what i've heard.

seriously, some of the crap that spews out of his mouth makes me cringe.

An experienced engine building shop is just that. It doesn't take a 4g63 "whiz" to assemble 4g63s.

If they're reputable, what sort of chance is one taking?
