K&N Oil Filters for 4G63?

Has anyone used K&N oil filters on your Evos? I know they make the filters that fit JDM 4g63 models. Was wondering if they are any good?

-Thanks

I would only use a oil filter. No other filter will do.

I am only using for the time being. Still under warranty and I don't want there to be any excuses from the stealership if I need to make a claim.

Someone posted something about the by-pass valve pressure setting of the filter is different than aftermarket. BS? Probably, but the OEM filter will work as well as an aftermarket so why take chances?

Lastly, unless the aftermarket filter can prove it has the ability to remove smaller particulates than the one, why change? Only reason would be stealership parts pricing.

I hear that a lot about dealerships charging $$$ for an oil filter??? I work for a dealer and I know the pricing of all the parts. Those filters only cost the dealer about $3.50-$3.70 each. I have got a case of the MD356000 filters in my garage. Paid $4.00 each and they come in a case of 25....so $100 for filters will last me............well awhile. Change the oil every 2k. Plus that filter will work on my Galant too
