Oil Filter

I know FRAM blows. I know most guys run the stocker on here, but what about the K&N filter?? I was looking for an actual longer filter with the same fitment for a touch more oil capacity and filtering like i used to do on my GN. Anyone NOT using the stocker? Ive been using the K&N but im thinking 'bout going back to the 'ol reliable OEM.

Ok I'm going to pin head Fram!!! 65K and no problems. FWIW you have a gigantic lack of knowledge.

I have most likely been changing oil longer than you have been alive and have NEVER had an issue with one of these filters. What part of OEM replacement don't you understand there bed wetter????

If you don't mind getting *** raped go ahead and pay more for the same thing.

End of rant.

LMFAO! i'm sorry. I have to laugh and make a post noting that I laughed out loud at his comment. "*** raped"...lol He's right tho. I think Oil Filters are pretty much universal as far as maintaining reliability. I think as long as you constantly change your oil at proper intervals given how you drive, then choosing which ***n oil filter to go with is a given. You can basically switch from one brand filter to another, and in the end just decide which one you like to turn counterclockwise when your taking it off while doing an oil change... lol, ya know? Just worry about which oil your putting in the car, not which oil filter.

Guys....and maybe some girls...Oil filters are not the same. The internal filtering materials can be more or less restrictive affecting flow and filtering rate. Some are anti-drain back some arent. So i guess youre gonna tell me K&N, Blitz, ARC and stock OEM air filters are the same too. Just like all motor oils are the same too. RIGHT. While youre at it go change your EVO's diff fluid with any ol' generic brand too.

Noobs got some rage goin on there. lol *******

What's wrong with you? He was asking a question and you got all booty hurt about him putting down a certain filter? Go take some ritalin and calm down.

FWIW, I had a fram filter break down and the filter element started getting into my engine in my old Maxima. That's why I don't use them anymore. Granted I used them a few times and it happened once out of about 15 times, it still happened.

Has NOTHING to do with price bro. Like i said i know sometimes you can get the same fitment of the filter but longer for more filtering and a bit more capacity. The position of the filter allows you to use a longer one. I used to do this on my GN, the filter was actually for a truck but it was essentially the same filter but physically longer

FYI the K&N filter has 15-20% more volume than the stocker, thats why I use it. Ive got way too much $$$ in my car to worry about the cost of an oil filter.
