Yeah I've seen a few of the two dozen or so maps I looked at like that.. Definitely looked to be an oversight..

 

actually, usdm's are gear limited, i can go to redline in 5th gear.(and i've gone faster than 154...)



isn't 180 kph only like around 110 mph?, that would suck if your car couldn't go faster than that.

 

Same here, but our speedo is really off over 100mph... I use my GPS Nav unit to get the speed..

 

MR's are capable (gear wise) of 182 with stock redline (7600).

 

I hit 167MPH i was surprise it passed 155mph stock !!!

That is advertised in a baseflash I think, which is not tuning it is adjusting.

 

Dude... When you "adjust" ignition timing. When you "adjust" the octane maps. I consider that tuning.

So, you're telling me that any Joe Shmoe, with no tuning experience, can open up their base maps and make these "adjustments" and do so without the potential of blowing up their engine?

I agree that changing the rev limiter and changing the stationary rev limiter is a no brainer, but doing the other things I mentioned goes way beyond "adjusting" anything.

This post was just another feeble attempt to bash one of the vendors that does base flashes.
