Noob Here!

I am an Evo noob... well not completely but very close to it!

I saw an amazing Evo on the road today and immediately became interested in these cars potential. I have read some about them before but this Evo a bullet.

I was in about a 430-450whp SRT4 and this Black Evo with Maryland plates races us from a roll and hangs with us completely. No one pulls on either car. Whoever got the jump got the slight edge. I am pretty sure if we went into the 150-160 (SRT4 max anyway) we would have edged. But that's a STOUT Evo!! AWD hanging with a Highway monster... I can't imagine what that thing has!

So I guess my question is... how much potential is in the stock 16g Evo 8 Turbo? Without Nitrous that is. He was very loud so full exhaust was obvious. Sounded like a HKS BOV (Also had badges... maybe cams?).

But all in all this SRT4 should be trapping in the mid 120 range. Car pulls real hard and this Evo was right there and never left. Dude was real cool too. Said his turbo was stock but I don't honestly believe that.

Before the flaming begins... I did do a little search but the feature doesn't seem to be operating correctly right now. Any answers?

You may be able to believe that, the stock 8 turbo should be good for about 390whp on pump gas. Anything else I would have to attibute to weight difference. Not really being sure on the weight of the srt-4 however.
