Has anyone seen this intake?

Anybody actually inspected this piece up close? For flow characteristics? Is anyone using it?

Its a monster sport copy it works the same way. Its just that the real one cost like $400 i would get it if your planning on leaveing your car semi stock.

i can't see the gains that it would give being mind blowing.its carbon it looks cool but if you had any full intake with a flash you would get better results but the man above me is right the real thing goes for $400 and the buy it now on this one is $150 its a good deal but when it comes down its all up to you

Looks like you would have to trim your stock bumper since the mounting holes are on the top side of the inlet. This is good for show and I would probably get this as long as I wouldn't lose HP!

Potentially couldnt you gain more power from the bigger smoother inlet monster carbon intake lid.

The inlet is obviously bigger and the middle slit on the stock intake lid is not there anymore. I would think it's less turbulence..

It's two different intake box cover. The one one the car is for the Evo VIII and IX. The one that's on the floor by itself, that's for the Evo VII. If you're getting the one that's on the floor by itself, you're going to have to do what 4G63 said. Cut the bumper.

You'll be better off getting the Apexi intake with their Aluminum intake box. It's like $120-140 for the intake and the box is like $140+.

I can't believe that Warrtalon hasn't commented on this thread yet. He always sticks his nose in the intake threads.

If I had to do it all over again then I would leave the intake stock, add a better filter, and use the money on a part that actually improves performance.

I to have been wondering about this piece on Ebay. You do save big bucks over the original. I don't believe in any HP gains with this piece either. This would be for just looks I assume. Is there anyone that has purchased this piece to give us any real feed back? Like fitment issues and if it's a bad piece like that Blue and Red death intake that has been sold on Ebay?
