the show is real...a local shop built a car and lost it on saturday night to a shop from canada..so yes it is very real

 

Ok yes, you can lose your car BUT you dont lose any money. Basically the show pays both owners for their cars. The show then has the pink slips. Whomever wins, the owner buys their car back and gets the other car for $1

so even if someone loses their car, they still have money.
