Wow. How anti-climactic. I just read 26 pages of posts and found..... nothing. Time to check some of the tabs of links I encountered throughout.
Hell, I'll link them here and now. Hopefully, some info can be found.

RnR racing's site:
http://www.rnrracing.com/cgi-bin/ccp5/cp-app.pl

"let's build a car for Pinks" thread on Subi Impreza site: (in case it was an Sti they raced)
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...php?p=15024530

Homepage for Pinks:
http://www.speedtv.com/pinks/

Some thoughts before I go scouring these sites:
a) If the show was taped on the 15th, I'd have expected an online "silence" from RnR during crunch time. I don't think a lack of updates indicates they were misleading anybody about this.

b) It's now been over a week since this race was supposed to go down. Why no leaks of footage? I ran across a leak of the host falling off a bike during one of the tapings shortly after it... er, he went down.

c) Maybe the member's on here haven't looked hard enough? There was a Subie that did a 130 ft gap jump for a far less popular show (Discovery's Stunt Junkies), and it took nearly two months for amateur footage to hit You Tube.

Part C's jump is something I posted about on another forum.
Here's the link, if interested:
http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79514

Back on topic..... SOMEONE FILL US IN ON IF THIS WENT DOWN!
(Sorry for the CAPS, but seriously... I'm eager to see this.)

Fear not Evo brethern. Even if they lied, you will see an Evo on Pinks. I have spoken to the Producers and there is a very good chance that I will be going on the show next year. I will be racing my father and his 70 Chevelle. We have the biggest Import vs. Domestic Family Feud in history. We are going to settle it on Pinks. The producers loved the whole concept. I just need to wait for the old man to finish the damn car which is going to take some time. I affectionatly call his car the Slowvelle and he calls mine the Mistusissy. So it will be the Mitsusissy vs. Slowvelle showdown some time next summer. I will start my own post when things get fimed up.

Then you'd like a project I've had on the back burner for awhile.. V8 powered datsun 210, we had been trying to decide what drivetrain to use..

Anyway..

I watch Pink's on occasion.. and I find it hard to believe there is no compensation, I think if there is, their contractually obligated not to discuss any details about compensation if there is any.

For me, it makes more sense for the show to hold the title(pinks) and "Buy" the loser's car, where they can "buy back" from the winner or show, or however they do it. But I doubt we'll get a straight answer.

I'm SOO torn on this one, considering I'm the owner of BOTH a Chevelle and an Evo..

That was the best episode IMO. You know they were were running there cars as hard as they could.

Does anyone find it strange that rnr has not posted in this thread in how many months?

Yeah I think that it is BS as well. If it wasn't you would see a lot more people crying/fighting...

I don't really care too much for it. It would be just as interesting if they made it a race for a cash sum or a street car challenge.
