adjust the clutch so there is no free play at all on top,then adjust it so you have around 3-5MM play on top and you should be fine.

i have 40,000 miles on my clutch and just adjusted mine up. what is considered "free play"? when measured with a tape measurer i measured 5mm from the top to the first amount of resistance.

I just noticed it today while driving, but the shifter went into 1st with ease, so I'm not sure if there is a problem...

I adjusted mine out until there was only like 3-4 threads showing and it went away.

on a stock clutch should i be adjusting out or in? no grinding issues just a bit notchy

adjust it so that the clutch pedal is slightly higher than the brake pedal
