Car nudges when putting into 1st from stop???

Its weird, it does not happen all the time but sometimes when I put my car into first when i am completly stopped the car barly nudges forward some. It does not continue to move after, just that initial small nudge. Also it is not hard to put it into gear when this happens.....it goes right in. I have a ACT street clutch and have adjusted my pedal awhile ago and everything shifts smooth and the pedal lets out towards the top. Should i adjust it again, if so what way or should I rebleed the system or is it something with my clutch engaugement....i just want to make sure that the clutch will not wear out early if something is not right. thanks for the help

Usually means the clutch is dragging.

I think I am going to adjust my pedal down some to see if that helps with pushing the clutch all the way so that is does not nudge....because if it does this going into first, it is probely doing when we are shifting into other gears also. That could account for why sometimes my shifts feel smooth and others it can feel somewhat notchy. I think I may have the engaugment set too high.....anyone think this?

Sounds as if you guys have a clutch engagement issue. Try lowering the point of engagement on the clutch pedal as see if this works.

I don't have any lurching forward, but I have adjusted my clutch pedal down some (same height as brake pedal when not touching either) and my engadgement is high in the pedal as well. It feels hard and that it's fully engaged it is just that it engadges just before its all the way out.

edit: ACT Street with light flywheel

Pedal adjustment is too close to engaging. Dragging, or creeping is caused when improper adjustment of the pedal. "Thanks UTI "

I adjusted the pedal out some so that there are only a couple of threads showing...other than having to relearn where the clutch let out...I think it may of cured my problem. I just want to make sure that the clutch is not dragging and is going to premature wear.
