edit: don't get a carbon btw. not good at all for street use, and it slips a lot unless you heat it up. They shouldn't be used on street cars.

The ACT will hold 400+ EASILY. So i reccomend him the ACt as well. I have used 4 of these in evos with 400whp+ and my friends are happy. The only problem with the exedy twin disck is the noises it makes. In traffic it is a horrible clutch to drive. I had it and went back to an ACT.

It's not hard if you are in fact very mechanical and you have the right tools. There is a good write up on Evomoto.com. Just don't disconnect the ACD lines, you don't have to.

mine doesn't slip, but it's very chattery engageing as of late. i think a spring may have fallen out of the disc, i've heard of this happening on stock discs. i'll let you know how hard it is next saturday!

it is definitely the clutch, the same thing happened to me b4 i changed my clutch and my evo pulls wonderful now. at first i thought i had a boost leak since it wasnt pulling hard but after i put in a new clutch, well u know the rest.
