!!!Slipping clutch!!!!!
!!!Slipping clutch!!!!!
Here is what is happening:
on the freeway step on the gas, the RPM's go up and then a sudden drop in RPM's, then the car speeds up.
In the morning, I take off from first and the car starts to jerk forward to back. I then depress the clutch and try it again.
What do you think is the problem? I think it's the clutch.

What is the best clutch for a stock setup? Keep in mind I will be modding up to 350 AWHP.
Thanks for the notes
i'd get a n exedy twin disk if i were you. You kinda wanna do alittle bit of overkill on the clutch just to eb able to hold all of that power. I'm running that on my car right now with around the same numbers as you plan to. It feels just a tad bit stiffer than stock, but it's manageable on the street. Is it going to be daily driven or tracked?
edit: don't get a carbon btw. not good at all for street use, and it slips a lot unless you heat it up. They shouldn't be used on street cars.

You should be able to find one for around 1600. I bought mine from Burseth Racing in Bartlett (don't know how close or far away that is from you) for 1650. PM me if you want their number. They can hook you up.
I don't know who lied to you guys, I paid 1300 for my exedy twin.
Doing the clutch is a big deal. If you had every right tool, ie lift, tranny jack, air tools...it would make it easier, but its still a big undertaking. I did it in a friends garage, everything by myself upto and after pulling the tranny and putting it back in.
Your probably like me, Im not a mechanic, but very mechanical(your quote), you can do it, just be ready for a very long weekend.
