What do you think...? I saw this on ebay for $500 shipped. Says its an evo 9 MR 20G from a 2005 evo.?

post the part #. the evo 9 has had 3 revisions of the turbo, and the JDM and US turbos are different.

If thats the original/first JDM turbo, dont touch it. the intake wheels have been melting! (I think its that, the magnesium one? but anyhow...dont quote me on the specifics but the original, non superceded JDM turbos have a failure issue)

there is a thread on here showing the part # that has the problem, and the superceding part #. When i checked mine, its a JDM turbo but is 2-3 part numbers newer than even the revision listed on here, so im all good on that count anyway.

looks like a 20 to me theres no taper in the Inlet like normal 16g but does look like the VIII thought not a 9. If that is a current pic it has never been used though.

 

if it was from an evo 9, shouldn't it say 2006, not 2005?

 

Theres no way to tell if its a 20G or not by that picture.
