5 speed vs. 6 speed

Stronger, longer 1st gear with a longer 4th gear and a shorter 5th gear. This is the best for road racing or drag.
They can both hold the same HP don't let people bullsh t you! You will get all the 5 speed people tell you theirs is better because they dont have a 6 speed. If you beat on either they will f ck up. In any way if you beat the car you should call shep anyways reguardless 5 or 6 speed. And dont let anyone tell you shep doesnt work with 6 speeds CAUSE THEY DO!!!!!

You have not earned the right to question Jon Ripple or his information.
I have 2 6sp, and 2 5sp transmissions. Guess which 2 are broken and which 2 are in use?
Jon has been dissecting, testing, rebulding and strengthening Mitsu transmissions for a many years. When your credentials meet or exceed his, feel free to share your professional opinion on gear strength.
wait if one of these breaks wouldnt mitsu cover it????i mean with like minimal mods such as dropin and flash....and just go back to stock before the dealer???and you know what gt the mr if you can afford it....

If you're reaching excessive temperatures with aggressive street driving, then a cooler setup would certainly be beneficial. If you're not, then it addresses a problem that does not exist.
With the new offerings it just doesn't make sense to get the MR for track duty.
Instead of dicking with a tranny cooler you're probably better off just reading the temp and not overheating the darn thing.
