okay, since i dont hear of anyone using aftermarket dampers i thought i would ask.

how many of you HIGHER HP engines are using an aftermarket damper such as the ATI Super Damper?? and if not, why not??

is it still lighter than the oem unit? My friend has one on his B16 CRX and he likes it. He's always stayed far away from normal crank pulleys (ie Unorthodox) because of the lack of the harmonic balancer. But this unit he really likes...

 

The ATI unit is much heavier than stock.

 

i think there is a reason for that....probably cause it will smooth harmonics quite a bit more than that of the stocker. it also replaces the crank gear so that it is intigrated.
