AMS 2.3 & 35R multi-gear spool-up data with Zeitronix
I went out and did a few pulls this afternoon to get some turbo spool-up data. It was 80 degress out and I was on 91 octane, running just under 21 psi and 10.8:1 AFR. I logged when I reached 20psi as a fair representation full spool up for pump gas applications. FYI, I have re-installed my Xede piggyback ecu recently.

I must say that the Zeitronix Zt2 is somewhat of a heartbreaker in terms of bragging about spool up. I still have my Omori gauge hooked up as well and it shows spool to be somewhat quicker. In any event, this is very close to being REAL accurate data about 35R + 2.3 street spool up. Thanks again to Alfred at Tuning Technologies for the great tune.

I still think the GT35R on a 2.0 is a little big for everyday driving, but the 2.3L definitely seems to make it 100% usable. Without any doubt when I get some money I will do the 2.3/35R combo... looks like gold.

It looks to me that spool up is only like 200 rpm sooner than on a 2.0 ltr.
So in conclusion, Soon2BEvo, how can you say it's to big? Most people can't tell the difference between 2-3 hundred in spool up anyway, esspecially not at those power and boost levels.
I am beginning to think the 2.3 is overrated in the spool conversation, though for torque it is well worth it.

Doug@Topspeed had this dyno comparison. The midrange torque on the stroker just obliterates the 2.0. Not even on this but look at the 50trim guys running stokers.
Most 50trims make 475-500whp with 415-435tq. The 2 stokers I saw had torque of 480 and 490. That is incredibly significant and will make driving around a lot more fun.
Also, I think a whole lot of emphasis is put on the RPM a turbo spools up at but how many people actually floor their GT35R cars at 3500rpm and wait for it to spool? Id like to see how fast the turbos react when you nail the gas at 4500 or 5000. I think the stroker would really start to shine there.
