Thermal coated exhaust parts (pics)

I had these done locally here in town. Stock exh mani, Ebay O2, and dual port 10.5 hotside. They turned out really nice. Roughly $80.00 per piece to be coated. High temp black good to 1600 degrees farenheight. Not as high as Jet hot but at least they wont rust and the price was less as well.

I posted this so people can see there is an alternative to sending it out in the mail. Most powdercoat shops should be able to do this. Enjoy!

I did the same thing locally. If I recall correctly I paid $60 total for all 3 pieces.

I wish it cost that little. Thats the bad thing about vegas.....things run high. I couldve sent it to PHX were Jethot is at but they wanted 120 per peice.

the coating doesn't look to be very thick. you probably could have save yourself some money and just use VHT flame proof ceramic paint or else get Jethot.

VHT would not last as long or be as thick as this is. It doesnt need to be 1/8" thick or anything. Besides, I said the jethot was $120 per peice. Way too much money and I dont like the shiny look of jet hot on these parts. Jet hot is good for about 400 degrees more and thats about it. The mani and O2 housing are coated in and out. The hotside is coated on the outside only.

The ceramic coating (the pretty silver) I've had put on headers is only ~.001" thick. IIRC, I've used HPC. And yes, paint is paint, no matter what you call it. If you have a spray gun you can buy the black ceramic coatings and do this yourself. The silver must be polished so you cannot easily duplicate that look at home.

I dont know what's more funny..... The glossy "high temp" paint thats going to peel off in the first week, or the fact your keeping the stock turbo with a 2.3 stroker
