Good luck with their DP if you have an ACD equipped evo.
The last 3 exhaust installs I did were XS Power jobs on ACD cars. None of the DPs fit. I will not install any XS Power exhausts anymore. I even tell ppl up front.. "If it's an XS Power exhaust, take it somewhere else."

 

SSAC and XSP is the same company.

the dp does not fit ACD equiped cars as stated above. you have to use a hamer and put a dent on the dp so it doesn't hit the ACD. there a post somewhere on here about this.

 

You guys kill me. I know that it doesn't fit properly but it is an easy fix. There are two hangers that are welded to the frame. If you hammer them slightly it will give you enough space to clear the ACD. Stop denting your downpipe its not necessary. I have 05 mr at that. So yes it does fit the Evo's w/ ACD. I just got done installing mine yesterday. I will show you the pics when my buddy emails them to me. I used his camera.

Yes, please do go into detail about clearing the ACD, it would be VERY benefitial, infact make it a step by step, and then PM a MOD about making it a Sticky and Title it...

the acd doesnt bother me because the car it would be getting bought for is an 03 anyway but thanks i didnt realize they were the same company

 

Ok once I get the pic's from my friend I will give you guys step by step instructions on how to clear the ACD. Much easy then trying to dent the down pipe. From photobucket how do we link the pictures in the thread?

 

do these exhusts need the cat delete or can they bolt up to a perrin hi-flow cat?

 

They should be able to bolt up to any 3" high flow cat....My XS system did not come with a high flow cat, just with the downpipe, (which does not touch the ACD) and the cat back. I just recieved my Random TEch test pipe today, and wil install it to fix my backpressure problem.

 

I'm glad to see someone testing this kit for I was also considering purchasing it, but felt kinda weary as I thought back to all the complaints they got on their older turbo kits and customer service. Hope they've turned their company around. Exhaust sounds pretty good, I may have their TBE in the near future

 

I also have this tbe. My dp is stuck to ACD. It doesnt rattle but I think its rubbing the ACD. Last week I looked at it and dp had like 1/8 inch scratch. scratch could be from installation or maybe its actually rubbing acd. Waiting on how to clear ACD pictures so i can take it to shop and look at it.

I am getting this exhaust and going to a dyno day in march so I will post my graph when I get done and let you all know what kind of whp gains I got.

 

For those that were waiting for my pics of the acd install i have the pics but some were blurry. I will take new pics and put htem up here. I will post the pics I have and you guys can tell me what you think. I can't give you good install instructions yet because I need a better pic of the hangers that you can bend a little to fit the down pipe better. So here you go
